About The Role:
We are seeking a Social Media Freelancer to assist with social media and content creation tasks.
While the role is primarily remote, on-site presence in the Charlottesville or Harrisonburg area may be required for iPhone content creation for clients.
Responsibilities:
Assist with creating content, write engaging captions aligned with our clients' brand and audience, research and execute on content ideas.
Edit content using Capcut, Adobe Lightroom, or similar tools, primarily for Instagram.
Stay informed about social media trends.
Organize and select footage for social media posts.
Communicate and collaborate with the owner via Google Meet, email, Metricool or other social scheduling apps, and project management tools such as Notion.
Be available for occasional on-site iPhone content creation sessions as needed in the Charlottesville or Harrisonburg area.
Other miscellaneous social media related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Must be located in the Charlottesville or Harrisonburg area.
Ability to meet deadlines and consistently deliver quality, creative work.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Trustworthy and reliable.
Strong grammar and writing skills.
Proficiency in Instagram and Meta Business Suite, with a good understanding of their features and best practices.
Willingness to collaborate and revise content until content meets expectations.
Ability to adapt to evolving social media trends and adjust content strategies accordingly.
Proficiency with Canva.
Understanding of branding and its relevance to social media and business strategies.
Previous social media management experience for a business or organization is preferred.
Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Candidates currently pursuing a degree in these fields are encouraged to apply.
Future Growth:
While the current role primarily involves supporting the owner with social media tasks for clients, there is potential for growth with the goal to take on additional responsibilities, including the management of social media accounts under our brand.
