0 Full-time 2 hours ago Full Job Description UVA Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is seeking a Reporting Analyst to join the team.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Electronic Research Administration, this position provides a flexible hybrid remote work environment following the University's remote work guidelines.
This resource will join a small team responsible for managing various systems/data, including ERP and grants/pre-PreAward.
UVA's OSP IT team is a thriving, multitalented team.
The team is strong and collaborative, always supporting and helping each other.
As part of the Vice President of Research's office, we support the Office of Sponsored Programs, as well as school and University research administration requests.
We are the Data Stewards for all research data.
Having completed two huge SaaS implementations, one for Post-Award Workday Financials and one for Pre-Award Huron Grants & Agreements, provides unique data opportunities.
Reporting is a critical activity and the need for robust dashboards is prevalent.
As such, this position will develop oral and written reports and presentations that detail findings related to data integrity and various program areas within OSP.
We are utilizing C Sharp, Python, and ASP.
net and are heavy SQL users.
For reporting, we run Tableau, SSRS, and Juice, as well as Qlikview.
We also maintain helpdesks for OSP, using ServiceNow.
Strong data analytics and/or reporting background would be helpful.
Qualified candidates should have experience as follows.
Job
Responsibilities:
Proficiency reading, modifying (changing/adding fields), and creating script.
Python and C-Sharp preferred.
Proficiency with SQL, and Excel is an essential requirement.
Proficiency with Tableau is an essential requirement, to include:
Creating and modifying apps.
Publishing the desktop apps to Tableau server.
Handling app permissions in Tableau server.
Scheduling jobs on Tableau server (refresh schedules).
User license administration (Explorer, Creator, etc.
).
Tableau Desktop Specialist certification is preferred.
SSRS experience is preferred.
Extracting data from legacy systems and new ERP systems.
Supporting the conversion of results of highly technical information analysis into written reports, project papers, or other written media for use by a non-technical audience.
Using large unstructured and structured data sets to create solutions to complex data-related problems.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to translate analysis into meaningful insights.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
Developing and maintaining SOPs and procedures and ability to train other team members.
Responsible for design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
May have quality assurance review responsibility.
1-3 years of experience preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, computer engineering, or related discipline.
Experience:
At least one year of experience.
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Licensure:
None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
