Our small business has been rapidly growing and is looking to bring on a lab tech that is willing to focus on lab work but also jump in on other small business projects that may arise.
These may include R&D, attending webinars and sharing findings with the team, or taking photos of lab analyses for social media.
The main position will focus on running wine, beer, cider, and other fermented beverage analyses using both wet chemistry and instrumentation.
Daily tasks will vary depending on the workload and season - wine harvest is an especially busy time for the lab with extended days and hours.
Client interactions - in-person, on the phone, and through email - are a regular part of the job.
We have fun catching up with clients dropping off samples or greeting new customers who want to set up an account.
We also have thought-provoking conversations with clients who are trying to troubleshoot processes or understand what the results on their report mean for their products.

Position Details This a part-time position but has the potential to become a full time as we grow.
Work will be completed in-person at our NEW office located in Crozet, VA.
Weekend availability will be required during wine harvest (mid-August through mid-October).
Otherwise, we are only open Monday through Friday.
