76000023 The incumbent serves as a Region 1 Regional Education Assessment Crisis Services Habilitation (REACH) Direct Support Professional (DSP) for adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in addition to those presenting with challenging behaviors (DD/BH) residing in Developmental Services Region I of Virginia which covers the nine Community Services Boards (CSBs) within Region 1.
This position is the REACH Crisis Therapeutic Home (RCTH) direct care professional.
This position participates in facilitating daily programs and individualized activities and support for habilitative and/or rehabilitative activities, therapeutic interventions, personal care/assistance, health care, and other activities.
DSPs participate as part of comprehensive REACH services that collaborate with primary providers, clinical homes, community crisis services, family, and others.
High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required.
Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and/or Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) - Minimum of Bachelor's degree in human services or related field from an accredited institution and no less than one year of full-time relevant experience.
Starting salary of $16.
54/hour.
Negotiable based on education and experience.
