As a member of the kitchen team, it is the Dishwasher's primary responsibility to clean, organize and sanitize all areas of the kitchen, some areas of the dining room, and assist in cleaning the outside grounds to ensure the guest has a clean and safe place to dine.The ideal Dishwasher has prior restaurant experience and is able to work in a fast-paced, loud environment for extended periods of time.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Know and follow all Briad policies & procedures
-- Load, run and unload dish machine
-- Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems
-- Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
-- Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
-- Keep dish room clean and organized
-- Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
-- Monitor linen and trash containers and empty when appropriate
-- Clean, sanitize, sweep, and mop all kitchen floors and dining room hallways, check for broken items on the floor and wet areas that may be hazardous and remove the hazard
-- Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
-- Understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures
-- Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
-- Clean food preparation and production areas as required
-- Maintain sanitation buckets with proper ppm dilution
-- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisorEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
