About the Position:
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Analytic Mission Mgt Office, Charlottesville, Va.
Serves as Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Operations) in support of the Commander's mission, goals, and objectives in GMI, S&TI; and all-source Intelligence support.

As Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Operations) supervises the branch in support of the Commander's mission, goals, and objectives. Manages the planning and evaluation of intelligence production that supports and facilitates the achievement of the NGIC mission goals and objectives. Provides expert planning advice to the Chief, Production Management Division in subject areas of current Joint, Army, and IC plans and capabilities to include GMI, S&TI; and All-Source Intelligence support to warfighters, force developers and policy makers. Expected to stay abreast of military, political-military, scientific and technical development within assigned areas in order to conduct effective, time sensitive intelligence production planning, requirements management and exercise support.

Specialized experience is defined as : Specialized experience is defined as: Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to counterintelligence analysis. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
2. In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
3. TDY will be required 20% of the time.
4. All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.
5. Stress is inherent in the nature of the work: The many short-suspense actions and pressures of time from nearly all contacts contribute to heightened demands on the incumbent. Under crisis operations, incumbent may be subject to short notice expanded hours and possible recall situations and irregular work hours, including weekends and holidays.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
