We are looking for a dedicated sales professional that is not afraid to work hard selling insurance. This is not a job: it is a career choice. The program has been called the "Best Small Business Opportunity in America," and in five years, you will grow from an agent into a Business Owner-Operator generating a gross income of $250,000 per year.
As a Farmers agent, you're an independent contractor in business for yourself, but certainly not by yourself. You'll have the latitude to set your own professional goals and income potential. For the last 2 years Farmers is making great changes that give us more options for candidates that want to own their own business.
We offer 3 options how to start your own Farmers Agency.

1- Scratch Agency Program - At first, you start in our District Office for the first 3 years, and have training and financial assistance available.The financial assistance package pays you approximately $100,000 spread over 36 months, in addition to all your commissions and renewals.
We will provide you time to build your own book of business, and give you time to create a residual income for your own Agency.

2- Retail Agency Program - We also have a program that is designed for experienced agents. Qualified individuals with a history of sales experience may also be a great candidate for this program. It's designed for new agencies to build a large clientele of business in the first 3 years, and have a great residual income very quickly. Qualified applicants would need to have $50,000 in liquid assets. We then assist you with getting an office space and 2 Full time, licensed staff members. This program offers a significantly higher than average bonus structure to offset current business expenses.

3- Agency Acquisition Program - You may also acquire an existing book of business, and start with a residual income right away.

Job Requirements
Entrepreneurial spirit, drive and ambition
Excellent work ethic and time management skills
People-oriented with the ability to manager others
Previous insurance or sales experience preferred, but not required
College education or 3 years sales management/sales experience preferred but not required
Good credit history
No bankruptcies within less than 2 years
No criminal convictions, felonies, or misdemeanors within 10 years

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
