Summary:
The Department of Radiation Oncology seeks a Research Scientist to study the role of the ubiquitin system in the control of cell cycle, genome instability and cellular response to ionizing radiation. This position will perform studies to identify novel ubiquitin ligases and deubiquitinases involved in DNA damage and DNA repair in response to ionizing radiation.
The successful candidate will have a PhD and/or MD degree in radiobiology, cancer biology, or related biomedical research with at least one year of research training in DNA damage and repair. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and possess the ability to work independently and productively. In addition, he/she is expected to provide some supervision and mentoring to more junior investigators.
